Instruction include: Daily Living Skills, Self-Determination, Workplace Readiness Training and Job Exploration.

Provides a behavior modification plan in conjunction with family members, teachers, and other individuals involved with the child.

State Early Intervention provides services to three- to five-year-old children with special needs. A secondary special education program focused on providing comprehensive academic instruction and real-life career exploration, experiences, and training to students with disabilities to best prepare them for successful post-secondary training and education, employment, and independent living. Programming includes:
Employment Transition Services - instruction to develop transition portfolios which includes a letter of interest, resume, applications, and thank-you letters.
Practical Assessment Exploration System Lab (PAES) - a simulated work environment that provides students with a scope and sequence curriculum to expose students to a wide variety of career fields and to further assess skills and interests such as consumer science, computer technology, problem solving, process and production, and communication.
Academic Instruction and Remediation Lab - students receive instruction and remediation based upon the standards in the areas of reading, writing, and math.

Provides a continuum of supports and services to eligible students with special needs from kindergarten through age 21. Creates life-changing solutions for children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities, autism and other social, sensory and developmental disorders and their families through a variety programs designed to increase independence, maximize opportunities, minimize barriers and enhance quality of life. Provides Early Intervention services for children starting at birth and provides free developmental screenings to ensure early identification of potential delays when it is most critical. Offers summer day camps and overnight camp; weekend respite camp; autism diagnostic clinic; ABA therapy coaching for parents of children with autism; community supports/habilitation for adults; and employment preparation program for high school students.

Serves as a Pennsylvania Department of Education licensed approved private school that specializes in teaching students identified with multiple disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and Traumatic Brain Injury, including students who are medically fragile.

Variety After School Program offers a wide range of Educational, Recreational, Therapeutic, Cultural and Social activities during the after school hours in locations throughout the Greater Philadelphia Region for children with disabilities. Students benefit from high staff to student ratios. Activities offered at Variety help meet or exceed appropriate state and local academic achievement standards in reading and math (based on criterion found in each student's IEP) and improvement in school attendance, classroom performance as well as reduced disciplinary referrals. After school programs can play a key role in engaging youth in the learning process by providing opportunities to explore interests, gain competency in real work skills, solve problems, assume leadership roles, develop a group identity with similar aged peers, connect to adult role models and mentors, and become involved in improving their communities. A licensed, private, special education day school providing educational services to students ages 6 through 21 with an educational classification of emotional disturbance and/or autism. In addition to serving children and youth with educational disabilities, Centennial is committed to preparing high quality teachers to enter the workforce of special education.

Provides job development, job coaching and follow-along support to adults with disabilities so they can work in the community. This service is available to any adult who is motivated to work for wages in a competitive job. Via focuses on career planning and helps adults with disabilities as they move into the workforce. Through School-to-Work Transition Services, Via works with students, in partnership with their school districts and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation to create a personalized employment plan and explore careers of interest.

Provides special education programs for students with disabilities from age 3 through age 5 who have developmental delays, physical disabilities, vision and/or hearing impairments, speech or language impairments, autism, or mental retardation. Services are offered at various locations throughout Lancaster and Lebanon counties. A full evaluation is required to determine eligibility for services.

Apply if you have a disability and it causes substantial problems in preparing for, obtaining or maintaining a career. Ultimate goal is job placement in competitive employment. Individualized services may include, counseling, evaluation, training, restoration services and placement.

Provides a shuttle service similar to other ride-share services where customers can use a smartphone app (Microtransit) to request a ride to and from anywhere they wish to travel within the service boundaries. Offers a convenient option to connect with fixed route service.

Operates as a regional public transportation provider. Offers a variety of transportation services to the residents of Adams, Columbia, Cumberland, Franklin, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Union, and York Counties. Provides information, technical assistance and support related to the development, implementation, review and revision of Individual Education Programs for students with disabilities and/or Individual Family Service plans for infants and toddlers with disabilities.

Catholic Education provides children with special needs an education that meets their spiritual, academic (cognitive), emotional, and psychological needs. The schools provide training in life skills and functional academics to help the students reach full potential and become valuable and contributing members in the community. The sensory schools strive to meet the needs of students with visual impairments or who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The Elementary Learning Disabilities Program is designed to meet the needs of students with specific learning disabilities. Two of the Archdiocesan high schools conduct programs for secondary students with learning disabilities.

Educational Gratuity program provides financial assistance to children of honorably discharged veterans who have service-connected disabilities and served during a period of war or armed conflict or children of veterans who die or died in service during a period of war or armed conflict.

Payment will not exceed $500.00 per term or semester per qualified child to each approved educational institution upon submission by that approved educational institution of proof of matriculation of the applicant. Educational gratuity payments are paid directly to the Educational Institution and may not be made for longer than 4 scholastic years.

All of the public schools of Luzerne Intermediate Unit 18 (LIU), 368 Tioga Ave,. Kingston, Pennsylvania provides special
education and related service to resident children with disabilities who are ages three through twenty-one. Services ensure that children with disabilities are educated to the maximum extent appropriate in the regular education environment, and that the instruction they receive conforms as much as possible to the instruction that non-disabled students receive.

Provides advocacy services that help families and self-advocates understand and navigate the mental health/intellectual and developmental disability service systems. The Arc's education advocacy services help parents, guardians, and students develop a plan of action for obtaining a free and appropriate education and helping students make meaningful progress on their educational goals. Provides an information line for families to call and ask questions.
