In partnership with The Wright Center, which oversees all medical aspects of the program, the Wayne County Drug and Alcohol Commission offers Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) for individuals with addiction to heroin and /or other opiate drugs. The individual must meet clinical and medical criteria in order to participate in this specialized program.

Offers recovery housing and peer to peer recovery services like Medication Assisted Recovery, Recovery Specialist Services, Life Skills classes, Recovery 101 groups, Recovery Planning Warm Hand off for Overdose Survivors, and Vocational Assistance. Offers social events like dances, workshops, and breakfasts.

Provides health services for opioid use disorder, HIV and Hepatitis C. We offer virtual and in-person care at low or no cost, which makes medical services more convenient for underserved patients. Our mobile unit offers services in different areas of the city.

Provides care coordination. Offers assessment, referral, recovery planning, care monitoring, medication monitoring, and interface with prescribing physicians and outpatient treatment programs to provide a team approach.

Detoxification from alcohol and other drugs. After a successful detox the patient is ready for the next level of care. Some will remain inpatient and some will transition to an outpatient level of care.

Provides a 32-bed residence for detoxification and rehabilitative services in Upland, Pa. Features patient rooms as well as a range of patient-centered amenities.

Offers short and long term treatment options. Residential and outpatient treatment available.

Offers an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) as well as different types of counseling and education aftercare. The treatment schedule will be determined on an individual basis depending on assessment recommendations.

Provides acute medical detoxification to chemically dependent persons as the first phase of the recovery process. A concerted effort is made to lead the patient into the next phase of a total recovery program, i.e., outpatient, residential, or 12 step programs.

Complete nursing assessments are completed on all patients admitted to the department to include: Detox Unit Initial Intake Preliminary treatment plans, Physical assessment, and Psychosocial assessments.

Provides outpatient, intensive outpatient, and partial hospitalization levels of care to individuals with a substance use disorder. Each level of care includes individual, group, and family therapy services to support the recovery process. Also provides level of care assessment services and medication assisted treatment (MAT) in the form of Vivitrol/Naltrexone for appropriate individuals.

Provides a voluntary treatment program for men and women aged 18 and older. Offers structured treatment activities, individualized to meet the needs of each person entering the program. Individuals can expect to participate in group therapy multiple times per day, receive regular contact with a psychiatrist and sessions with a counselor. Stays vary in length from 21-90 days as determined by the clinical team.

Offers a certified childbirth educator that will instruct classes and help prepare mothers and their coaches for the labor experience.

A managed approach to alcohol and/or opioid withdrawal that is most often the initial step in treating chemical dependency. Medications combined with therapy are evidence-based treatment options to sustain recovery.
