Educating the consumers about the benefits of choosing locally grown food, promoting local food providers, improving fresh food access, facilitating local food purchases by wholesale buyers, providing research about the local food economy and convening the Thriving Local Food System branch of the Food Policy Council.

Provides eligible individuals with vouchers to purchase Pennsylvania-grown produce at participating farmers’ markets and farm stands. Vouchers are distributed in the summer and may be used through November.

Individuals who cannot pick up their own vouchers may designate a proxy to accept vouchers on their behalf. Proxy forms are available online through the eligibility website and at area senior centers.

Shoppers who are SNAP eligible can visit the Information Stand and have their card swiped in exchange for SNAP vouchers to redeem at stands selling eligible products. When funds are available, Double Bucks programs may be offered.
