Peer Advocates are trained to offer support, information and advocacy to those involved in dating abuse relationships as well as concerned parents, teachers, clergy, law enforcement, and service provides.

Uplift Center for Grieving Children
Philadelphia - Support Groups
Provides peer-to-peer grief support groups to youth, grades K through 12th, and their adult caregivers after the death of someone close to them. Peer groups are available for children, teens, and young adults, and are separated by the developmental age of the participants. Kindergarten to 2nd grade-aged children attend groups together with their caregivers. Caregivers can also meet separately in adults-only group meetings.

Uplift also offers specialized grief supports for Spanish-speakers, LGBTQIA+ youth, justice-involved students, and youth homicide survivors throughout the year. Uplift’s Philly HopeLine, a free telephone helpline staffed by Uplift’s clinicians, is a connection point for youth and caregivers to receive emotional or grief support, sign up for grief groups, or connect to community resources.

The schools provide training in life skills and functional academics to help the students reach full potential and become valuable and contributing members in the community. The sensory schools strive to meet the needs of students with visual impairments or who are deaf or hard of hearing.

The Elementary Learning Disabilities Program is designed to meet the needs of students with specific learning disabilities. Two of the Archdiocesan high schools conduct programs for secondary students with learning disabilities.

Virtual Resource - ParentHelp line
Assists parents in conflict whether still married or parenting apart and dealing with problems such as visitation, custody, child support or fear of child abduction. Services are free and include parenting skill building, conflict resolution, information and referral and mediation when appropriate.

under the age of 18.

Childhelp National Child Abuse Hotline, 1-800-4-A-CHILD, serves the United States, its territories, and Canada 24 hours per day, 7 days per week. Provides assistance in approximately 140 languages. Offers crisis intervention, information, literature, and referrals to thousands of emergency, social service, and support resources.

- Resolving taxpayer complaints and providing taxpayer service and education
- Determining, assessing, and collecting internal revenue taxes
- Determining pension plan qualifications and exempt organization status
- Preparing and issuing rulings and regulations to supplement the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code
- Information on the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EIC) program for working parents is available. Eligible parents can apply by attaching Schedule EIC to their income tax form
- Information on filing applications to become an "exempt" organization can be obtained by calling the "1040" line. EXEMPT refers to those groups wishing to become non-profits.
NOTE: To apply for exemption from PA Sales Tax, contact the PA Department of Revenue in Lancaster.
