The Internet Based Parenting Education program consists of two different approaches to reach parents who cannot come in to attend the programs we hold at our site.
The first is live online educational workshops in which parents attend the program in a virtual meeting room in live time. There is a mix of formal presentation, interactive exercises and opportunities for parents to share their stories and ask questions.

The second type of program consists of "on demand articles" which are placed on our website and available to parents whenever they have the time or need to address certain issues. These articles, either audio-based narrated power points or text only, are short (5 to 10 minutes) and cover challenges that parents face as they raise their children.
The advantage of these programs is that parents can attend/learn the information from the comfort of their own homes, accommodating their hectic schedules, and without having to consider child-care needs
Center for Parenting Education
Play 'n Share
Play 'n Share is a discussion/support group for parents of infants and toddlers up to age 3 years. Children play in the same room as the parents. Parents learn information, gain support and have the opportunity to make connections with other parents. Since parental feelings of isolation are so prevalent and a cause for overly harsh disciplinary practices, this opportunity to talk with other parents and the two Parenting Educator facilitator is very significant. Parents choose the topics to discuss; some examples are sleep issues, isolation, eating, social needs of children and parents, spousal support, parent and in-law management.
The environment in Play 'n Share is nurturing, non-judgmental and supportive, so that parents feel free to share and are open to learning new information.
Center for Parenting Education

The setting is nurturing and non-judgmental to allow each parent to feel as supported and comfortable as possible, to maximize likelihood of learning and new information being taken in by participants.
Topics include: Building Self-Esteem in Your Children; Tools of Effective Discipline; Skills for Healthy Communication; Coping with Anger; Taming the Anger Monster in Children; Tackling Temper Tantrums in Toddlers; Coping with Sibling Rivalry; Parenting the Temperamentally Challenging Child; Truths about Consequences; Team Parenting; Limit Setting for Toddlers; Raising Confident Girls; Understanding Your Adolescent; The Unique Child; Promoting Responsibility in Yo
