Safe Haven of Pennsylvania states a parent of a newborn may leave a child in the care of a hospital or a police officer at a police station without being criminally liable as long as the child is no older than 28 days and is not harmed. Safe Haven gives parents a safe, legal and confidential alternative to abandoning their baby. Local Children and Youth agency will take custody of the baby and find them a family.

Teachers and/or therapists provide this service to infants and young children in their own home or in a day care setting. The family-based program is available to children living in Wayne, Lackawanna and Susquehanna counties.

The process begins with evaluations. Program plans are then devised with input from county personnel, parents and Center staff.

During scheduled sessions, the special-needs instructor/therapist works with the child and his or her family on routine-based activities that foster developmental growth.

Offers faith-based preschool and child care services for infants, toddlers, and school-age children.

Provides a variety of faith-based childcare programs including preschool, before and after school care, kindergarten, an infant and toddler center, school-age care, and summer programs.

With a staff ratio of one teacher for every four infants (or better), all infants experience both planned and spontaneous interaction with the staff, other infants and with age-appropriate toys. The center provides linens, infant formula, cribs, and strollers.

Provides child care for children ages 6 weeks through preschool. Also provides before and after school care for children in Kindergarten through 5th grade.

Digital Mammography is a safe, low-dose X-ray that can detect very small changes in the breast, especially those that you or your healthcare provider cannot feel during a breast examination. It can detect 90-95 percent of all breast cancers. Radiologists use computer-aided detection (CAD) to further improve their ability to find even the smallest breast cancers at their earliest stages when there is the greatest chance of cure.

Offers childcare for infants to children in grade 7. Programs include care for parents who work out and participate in classes, weekly and drop-in care, early learning programs, preschool programs, and before and after school care for school-age children. .

Provides infants, toddler, preschool, and school-age child care for all of Lebanon County. There are two childcare centers and 13 after school sites throughout Lebanon County. Scholarships are available for those that cannot afford the full cost.
