Provides computer-based High School Equivalency (GED) testing as a Pearson VUE Testing Center, as well as paper-based testing as a HiSET Testing Center. Currently offered to the general public in Lawrence County, as well as the Mercer County Correctional Facility.

Classes fill up quickly please call for current registration information. Classes are available in Coatesville at the CareerLink and at OIC's Phoenixville site. York Literacy Institute
York - Adult Education Classes ABE/GED/HiSET
Provides free classes and tutoring for adults in basic reading, to prepare for the High School Equivalency test (HSE), and to Learn English as a Second Language (ESL). Administers additional classes that include Citizenship Classes, the Next Step Program helping students to prepare for a career, higher education, and workplace goals, HiSET Testing Location in York County, and Home of BUCK A BOOK® Reading Program held in York County Schools. Offers volunteer opportunities to be tutors with training provided.
