The YMCA offers Day Care and Pre-school services.

Offers a respite program for children who are actively receiving mental health services. Program will provide a temporary relief for parents or caregivers giving them the ability to relieve stress, restore energy and look after their own well-being. . Activities will be held in CYC child care classrooms, gymnasiums, playgrounds, outdoor park and swimming pool.

Provides 24 hour child care from Monday through Saturday morning. The program is designed to accommodate parents and families who work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift. The Childcare Program has access to the entire facility which includes 2 gymnasiums, 2 playgrounds, outdoor park, and library.

St. Joseph's Center has long history of caring for children with special needs. The trend continues today in the Center's state-of-the-art Weinberg Therapy Building. Experienced therapists utilize a play-based gym, a therapeutic pool, the latest in communication technologies, and full music and recreation therapy facilities to provide each child with a comprehensive therapy service. Licensed therapists evaluate skills and work one-on-one through an individually developed plan of care. By incorporating the family and/or caregiver, we hope to attain functional goals and ultimately to improve the quality of life for each child.

The Learning and Caring Center strives to provide a warm, loving and nurturing environment. Programs are designed to help your child develop socially, intellectually and physically through age-appropriate activities.
Infants, 6 weeks to 12-month offers age-appropriate activities including stories, tummy time and using our playroom.
Toddlers, 12 to 35-months-old, offers activities including stories, arts and crafts, music, open gym and playground fun.
Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten, 3 to 5-year-olds, offers literature activities, crafts and structured play including playground fun. This group also has the opportunity to swim twice a week at the Y, learning how to use water safely. Programming includes CATCH (Coordinated Approach to Children's Health) activities and
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math). Full and partial weeks available.

In the morning, our staff takes each child to their respective bus in front of the Y at the appropriate time. In the afternoon, the staff meets the children at the bus stop in front of the Y. Snacks are provided daily. Children are provided with a space to do their homework with assistance from our staff. Children will have the opportunity to participate in art, discovery, structured activities and utilize the gym regularly.

Provides a safe place for the children to go before and after their school day. Whether doing their homework, playing in the gym/on the playground or working on crafts, the children learn how to work with each other and become a team.


On days when there is no school, care is offered at the Y on Main Street in Stroudsburg for children registered for this program from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm. There are additional fees for these days and the space is limited since we serve both Stroudsburg and East Stroudsburg schools.
When there is a two-hour delayed opening the program begins at 7:30 am.
Options are available for mornings only, afternoons only or both, as well as 2 day, 3 day or 5 day a week care.

Digital Mammography is a safe, low-dose X-ray that can detect very small changes in the breast, especially those that you or your healthcare provider cannot feel during a breast examination.
