Offers Breastfeeding Peer Counseling and Support. Promotes and supports breastfeeding. A full-time Breastfeeding Peer Counselor is available to provide support, education, and resources to mothers who choose to breastfeed, including access to pumping supplies.

WellSpan Health
WellSpan Ephrata Community Hospital - Healthy Beginnings Plus
Funded by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Healthy Beginnings Plus is a program for pregnant women who are income eligible. During pregnancy income eligibility increases to 185% above Federal Poverty Guidelines. Services provided by the program include:
- medical care provided by a doctor or nurse midwife
- pre-natal education by a nurse educator
- assistance of a special counselor
- nutrition instruction
- childbirth education
- parenting and baby tips classes
- breastfeeding classes
- smoking cessation programs
- access to dental care through affiliation with Welsh Mountain Dental Clinic
