The Center for Traffic Safety develops and implements comprehensive community traffic safety programs intended to reduce the incidence of traffic crashes, injuries, and deaths.

The Center and its trained, experienced staff are well qualified to address any traffic safety related topics. We provide technical support to local governments, school districts, police departments, health care providers, volunteer and civic organizations, and other professional groups.

Ovversees and maintains the state highway and toll system. Provides EZ pass information, violation processing center, weather conditions, construction information, and special permits information.

Reports vehicle or vehicle equipment safety problems (cars, trucks, and automotive equipment), and inquiries about recalls and warnings.

Responsibilities include:

- Liquor Control Enforcement Hotline is used to report underage drinking on licensed or unlicensed premises. All reports, anonymous or otherwise, will be investigated.
- Sponsors Camp Cadet for Lancaster County youth ages 11 - 13 years. A week long residential summer camp program which gives youth an opportunity to know and learn about law enforcement activities.

The Committee serves in an advisory capacity to:
