Administers the Mifflin County Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance, Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program, and Housing Rehabilitation program. Maintains the Mifflin County Comprehensive Plan and coordinates with other agencies in the areas of transportation, housing, economic development, solid waste, and tourism.

Provides professional educational opportunities for community area businesses in order to advance economic growth and development in the region. Also offers information on tourism, tax status, housing, economic development; maps, directories, and reference materials; demographic research; labor market reports; and business networking opportunities.

Provides a visitor's guide, an events calendar, maps, and informative brochures on places to visit and explore with Schuylkill County. Offers suggestions on dining, lodging, events, shopping, and local heritage.

Provides information and referral to area businesses and services. Offers information on tourism, tax status, housing, economic development, provision of maps, directories, and reference materials, leadership training, business seminars, community economic planning, small business counseling, trade fairs, and business women's activities.
