The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and , in particular, to encourage and foster:

Community Action Groups

Develop community service projects that address many of today's most critical issues, such as children at risk, poverty and hunger, the environment, illiteracy, and violence. They also support programs for youth, educational opportunities and international exchanges for students, teachers, and other professionals, and vocational and career development.

Business and professional leaders united who provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world. Focus on giving of themselves in both time and talent. Through annual fundraisers the organization supports many local non-profits. Meetings are held regularly. New membership submissions welcome and encouraged.

Community Service has more than 500 supervised academic, athletic, community outreach and performance-oriented co-curricular programs are available in the District, from elementary school technology clubs to high school varsity sports. In addition to serving student programs, the District's facilities are utilized by thousands of community members for enrichment programs, recreation and general use. The program works with faculty, parents and students at the ten schools to promote existing service efforts, provide resources and develop new service opportunities and programs.

Provides services, social activities, and volunteer opportunities for retirees living in Lancaster City.

Offers one-hour online classes taught by staff from various roles at the agency. Examples of classes include art, Bible studies, book club, cooking, exercise, music, and sign language.

* Workshops and information sessions are available to the public. Can be found on the events calendar.
* Comprehensive Career Services - One-on-one with an employment planner. For adults 18 years and up. Must meet federal eligibility requirements.
* Work one-on-one with an employment planner to develop an employment plan and outline the path to their next job. For adults 18 years and up. Must meet federal eligibility requirements.
* Job Search/Job Club - Individuals can sign up for Comprehensive Career Services. Work one-on-one with an employment planner to develop an employment plan. For adults 18 years and up. Must meet federal eligibility requirements.
* Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) serves young adults 17-24 years old who are currently enrolled in school in Berks County. Must meet federal eligibility requirements.

Youth are offered hands on projects in areas such as health, science, agriculture, and civic engagement based on their own interests and guided by adult mentors.

Encourages youth and adults of all cultures to explore race together. Includes "reading to reduce racism" after school book clubs, discussion groups, and special events
