In Girl Guards, the focus is on the four aspects of personal growth outlined above in the Girl Guard Aim: spiritual, mental, physical and social. Operates a ten-unit scattered site transitional housing program for homeless women with or without children. Clients coming from the Center's Emergency Shelter or the Women's Resource Center Shelter receive rental assistance and supportive services while residing in scattered site apartments. Services include: case management, assistance in acquiring safe housing, rental and utilities assistance for up to 12 months, life Skills training and goal setting, furniture and household items, emergency food and clothing, art therapy, counseling and legal services, assistance with job training and education, linkages to community agencies, and recreational opportunities.

In partnership with other agencies, operates a transitional housing program for women leaving prison. The program identifies women from the Lackawanna County Prison who might effectively use this opportunity to change the direction of their lives, and offers alternative housing options and support services for up to one year. The ultimate goal of this program is to empower women to sustain independent living following their release from prison. Services include: group sessions in pre-release phase, intensive case management, assistance in finding safe housing, setting measurable goals with each client, assistance in finding employment and job training, rental assistance up to one year, assistance in moving, procuring furniture and personal supplies, art therapy, linkages to community services, assistance in being reunited with children, and recreational activities. All services are provided free of charge.

The Center's Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) program is a center-based program for children ages 2 to 6. The program offers full-day state-of-the-art intensive and comprehensive treatment based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis. The staff to child ratio is one-to-one. Children who are candidates for Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention (EIBI) have been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) including Pervasive Developmental Disorder, Asperger's Disorder, Rhett's Disorder and Childhood Disintegrative Disorder.

School Age Child Care develops the whole child, including character development. Children participating in the School Age Program will take part in a variety of activities, including homework support, art, science & technology and physical play.

Children who participate in quality learning programs tend to be more successful in school, are more competent socially and emotionally, and show higher verbal and intellectual development.

Providing an infant program that promotes a standard of quality essential for optimal growth and development in the first year of life. Certified teachers provide a nurturing, safe and stimulating "small group" environment. Self imposed limit of 3 infants encourages continuous staff/child interaction.

Children in the play-centered toddler program are guided through development in learning areas aligned with age appropriate PA Learning Standards. These areas include speech and language development, social and emotional growth, physical and motor activities, and creative expression. Also, providing a full day preschool with a well-developed curriculum that is aligned with PA Learning Standards. Our program is child-centered using the Creative Curriculum with learning areas in creative arts, language and literacy, mathematics, social & emotional development, large motor activities (including swim lessons), science and social studies. Learning activities and group lessons are repeated to provide optimal experience.

Provides support to individuals and families affected by substance use disorder. Facilitates the journey towards a healthier life through meaningful relationships and community engagement through availability of walk-in recovery center. Services includes breakfast service, after school snacks, and lunch on non-school days, homework support and project supplies, and supervised playtime, arts and craft space, library and music room, creative play space, game room, and multipurpose room. Also included are walking trips to local parks when the weather permits, field trips during non-school days, carnivals, talent shows, holiday celebrations, and other activities.

Instruction in basic and advanced skills for adults without high school diplomas; classes prepare adults to take the HiSET® and GED® exams, as well as preparations for post-secondary education and the workforce. Classes are offered at a variety of times and locations.

Our health promotion programs regularly include: exercise, managing chronic conditions, health assessments. Opportunities vary but include activities such as Tai Chi, line dancing, yoga, and classes on healthy aging including good nutrition , injury prevention, emotional well being, art and music. Classes are designed to be fun and interactive.

Operates as a cooling center during extreme heat emergencies (Code Red).

Overnight respite camp is modeled after their summer camp allowing them to provide two days and nights of respite for families. Held at the campus of the Pocono Environmental Education Center. Activities include seasonal and nature inspired arts and crafts, birdwatching, nature hikes, animal studies, foliage exploration and more. For ages 10 to adult. Staffing ratio 1:3. TSS and other staff welcome.

Modern hospital that provides comprehensive care and advanced technology. Offers spacious private rooms, critical care, surgical services, a large emergency room, four operating rooms, state-of-the-art Interventional Radiology lab, diagnostic radiology and additional lab services.

Provides a multi-service facility that fulfills many social, emotional, and intellectual needs. Services include Meals on Wheels, a congregate meal program, fitness classes, a computer lab, arts and crafts, educational speakers, a mobile pet food program, tax assistance, form completion assistance, and trips. NOTE: Does not offer direct financial assistance. Operates as a cooling station for those who cannot adequately cool their homes or do not have a place to cool down.

Provides individual, family, couples, children, and adolescent counseling, education, and consultation through a team of psychologists, professional counselors, clergy, and business consultants. Faith and spirituality may be integrated, if desired by the client.

Provides spiritual direction, academic assistance, and social support to children and teenagers. Services include an after-school program, martial arts, music instruction, tutoring, and homework help.

Provides sports and fitness activities such as swimming, basketball, volleyball, aerobics, slimnastics, yoga, pilates, dance, and cycling; cultural activities; special interest classes such as arts, crafts, and dance; a game room; steam room; saunas; and a pool.

Offers a wide variety of performing arts and entertainment events and films. Promotes the performing arts to the community through educational and cultural endeavors.

Provides special events for teens, clubs, group socialization, 3 annual dramatic productions, Bible studies, other special recreational events and school of music, and drama. Provides community service fulfillment available for court adjudicated youth programs, academic honors, scouting and religious projects. Provides post high school group availabe and post high school life skills mentoring.

Offers a drop-in center for Lehigh County residents ages 18 and older with mental health challenges. Provides social and educational activities such as a self-esteem group, arts and crafts and outings as well.

The Emergency Department has 18 treatment rooms (14 private) and a âfast trackâ for minor injuries. State-of-the-art technology allows providers to access records quickly. The Emergency Department (ED) has its own x-ray and trauma rooms. The ED staff uses computerized charting for timely turnaround. Fully-trained and board certified physicians and physician assistants are on duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Treatment rooms include two negative air-pressure rooms that can be used in cases of bio-contamination.
