UPMC Williamsport Divine Providence Campus - Adult Inpatient Treatment
Susquehanna Behavioral Health is a licensed 21-bed, short-term, intensive treatment program for adults 18 and older. Services are provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week, in a safe, monitored and comfortable atmosphere.
Eligibility: An individual may be admitted to the unit once he or she receives a medical evaluation by a doctor and it is determined that criteria has been met for acute psychiatric care. Patients are most commonly admitted from an emergency department, but may be referred by their family doctor, outpatient psychiatrist or therapist.
Hours: Admin. office: Weekdays, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Intake Procedure: A psychiatrist provides final approval for admission.
Intake Requirements: Within the first 24 hours of admission, patients receive a psychiatric evaluation, physical examination and comprehensive nursing assessment. Further testing is provided when deemed necessary.
