Pottstown Center - Code Blue Shelter for Families with Children
Operates an emergency only overnight shelter for families on nights when the county makes a CODE BLUE declaration.
Eligibility: Adults (men, women, guardians, grandparents) with children under the age of 18 (or with adult child/dependent with a disabling condition in need of a caregiver)

Adults may not be sexual offenders.

Intake Procedure: Call to confirm that Code Blue has been declared. Visit in person. Families will meet with case manager for intake paperwork. Call for more information.
Intake Requirements: Proof of identification (photo ID, birth certificates, etc.)
Proof of homelessness (eviction notice, etc.)
Geographical Area: Western Montgomery County
Helpful Tips: Door is on the side of the building.

Space is limited; each family member may bring a half a trash bag of clothing - no suitcases.

All household members must comply with residence responsibilities and rules.

Shelter contingent upon available beds. No guarantee of getting shelter; may get help to stay warm outdoors.

For longer term shelter, clients must complete intake with Your Way Home through PA 211.

A county-wide declaration is made when the temperature or the wind chill will drop to 32 degrees Fahrenheit or lower for two hours or more.
Facility/ADA Access: Accommodations are made for those in need. No available elevator.
