Franklin County Area Agency on Aging - Aging Services
Program for those providing care for a care dependent older adult. The caregiver is the primary manager of their care. The program works to ease the stresses of caregiving by focusing on the well-being of the caregiver. The program provides the primary caregiver with reimbursement for out-of-pocket costs associated with caregiver, such as respite, personal care, and caregiving-related services and supplies. The program also offers education, training, counseling, and more.
Eligibility: Primary caregiver is 18+, caring for a dependent older adult 60+ or an individual age 18-59 with Alzheimer's or other chronic dementia. OR Primary Caregiver is 55+ and caring for an individual age 18-59 with a disability (cannot be dementia related). Care receiver must require assistance with at least 1 ADL. Household income is taken into account.
