Mansfield - Family-Based Services
Program provides intense therapeutic interventions and support services to the child and family to empower the family to care for their child with emotional disturbance, mental health issues, or trauma. Aims to prevent out-of-home placements such as Foster Care, Residential Treatment Facilities, or Inpatient Hospitalizations.
Eligibility: Have serious emotional and/or behavioral difficulties.Be at-risk of needing treatment in a psychiatric hospital, residential treatment facility (RTF) or other out-of-home setting.Need an intense mental health service. Typically, other types of mental health services should be tried prior to FBMH.Have at least one adult family member or caregiver who is willing to participate in the childâs treatment.
