Administrative Headquarters - Veterans Initiative
Provides case management assistance to with acquiring permanent housing as quickly as possible or to attain stability in their current housing situation. Housing relocation and short to medium term rental and/or utility assistance may also be provided.
Eligibility: Must have either an eviction notice in hand and be income eligible (to be determined at intake), OR
be homeless using HUD guidelines (NOTE: Income eligibility is waived for veterans who are homeless). Must NOT possess a mortgage for a house, possess a housing “land contract,” or own other forms of shelter that could be used for safe and reasonable housing.

Intake Procedure: Face to face meeting will be set up. Case managers will travel to individual's location if necessary. Call for information.
Intake Requirements: Proof of military service (DD-214). If a veteran does not possess a DD-214, then ESGV will assist in applying for a new one, which is free of charge.
