Greater Erie Community Action Committee
Central Office - Foster Grandparent Program
Foster Grandparents are role models, mentors, and tutors to at-risk children in an educational setting. The program provides a way for volunteers to stay active by serving children and youth in their communities.
All one needs to join is the ability to give the kind of comfort and love that sets a child on the path toward a successful future. If individuals are 55 or older and want to share their experience and compassion, then they have what it takes to be a Foster Grandparent. GECAC will provide a stipend or other benefits that enable individuals to participate as Foster Grandparents without cost to themselves
