Youth Advocate Programs - Dauphin - Youth Advocate Program
Provides BHRS (Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services)/IBHS (Intensive Behavioral Health Services) mental health services as well as respite care services for ages 2 to 21. Offers early Intervention and special instruction services, which provides 1-on-1 support for ages 0 to 3.

Intake Procedure: For BHRS/IBHS an initial psychological evaluation has to be done before starting services and individuals must have medical assistance. For Respite services a referral form must be completed, and a child must be enrolled in a PerformCare community based service i.e. (outpatient therapy, trauma therapy, BHRS/IBHS, play therapy, etc.) and have medical assistance. A child can not receive respite care services if they are in foster care.

Once an initial evaluation is completed and received the director works on assigning staff due to the existing waitlist and staffing availability. Evaluations are good for 60 days from the date it is conducted.
