Shalom House
Emergency Shelter for Women and Children
Operates a 21-bed emergency shelter. Offers hot meals, assistance with clothing, case management that provides help finding housing, employment, and networking for other needed services. Provides assistance with transportation and building a support system with clients.
Eligibility: A) Women and women with children (males up to 18 years)
B) Must have a referral from CCU/Help Ministries, Dauphin County Commission on Drugs and Alcohol, or Dauphin County Case Management
C) Must have a 2-week supply of prescribed medications, be stable, clean and sober
D) Must participate in case management and must meet goal plan requirements
