Community Action Development Commission - Matching Energy Assistance Fund (MEAF) - Montgomery County
Offers bill payment assistance to low-income, residential customers in a hardship situation (service terminated or in threat of termination for nonpayment). Customers are eligible for MEAF assistance every 12 months.
Eligibility: Income must be at or below 200% of Federal Poverty Level; Must have a termination notice or service is already terminated; Must not have received MEAF assistance in the past 12 months; Balance must be brought to zero ($0.00). Can be a combination of MEAF grant, customer payment, and other grant funding.
