Fayette County Veterans Affairs - Veterans' Diversionary Program
The Fayette County Veteran’s Treatment Court is a pretrial diversionary program for offenders diagnosed with a legitimate mental illness including PTSD.

The mission of the Fayette County Veteran’s Treatment Court is to provide our Veteran’s with the opportunity to participate in rehabilitative services in order to address any mental health, substance abuse, or lifestyle issue that has occurred in correlation with their military service. A reduction in recidivism and an overall improvement in community is also hoped to be attained.
Eligibility: Former service members with any type of discharge. The defendant must be a resident of Fayette County, Pennsylvania. Offenders must also have a major Axis I diagnosis verified by a licensed Mental Health Professional within the last 2 years. If an offender does not have a diagnosis verified in the last 2 years they will have to undergo the appropriate assessment.
