Williamsport - English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes
Thrive offers English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for beginning to advanced level students and citizenship classes.

Classes meet online 1x per week and have 15-20 minutes of teacher-monitored online homework 5 days per week. Students are able to participate using a computer or smart-phone.

Classes help students with reading, writing, listening, and speaking for everyday life and employment.
Eligibility: All interested students.
Hours: Classes are held in the mornings and evenings. Please check our website for current class times.

Fee Amounts: The fee is $30 per month. If a student helps with Thrive’s takeout meal the prior month, then his/her class fee is reduced to $20 the next month.

Scholarships may be available if a student has low income and lives within a 45-minute drive of Williamsport, PA. We do not want the fee to prevent anyone from coming to class. If you will have trouble paying for class, please contact us.
Intake Procedure: To register, students can call or email for an appointment
Intake Requirements: . At a registration appointment, new students take an assessment (exam) to see which class will be most helpful for them.
Geographical Area: Serving students from the following counties in Pennsylvania: Bradford, Carbon, Centre, Clinton, Columbia, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Lycoming, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Northumberland, Pike, Potter, Schuylkill, Snyder, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, and Wyoming.
