Emergency shelter for single women and women with children. 45 day maximum stay. First come, first serve as rooms become available. Residents are provided with meals, case management and life skills classes.
Eligibility:
Single women and women with children (will accept boys up to age 17
who are enrolled in school or who will enroll in school); May not
appear on the Megan's Law registry; Once a individual stayed in the
shelter they may not return to shelter for an entire year. Family
must be registered through 211. Lehigh County residents preferred

through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm, evening and weekend referrals not

Clients can also be registered by a walk-in access site - Lehigh Conference of Churches, 457 W Allen St, Allentown.

Photo identification or Passport, birth certificate of all
dependents, social security numbers/cards of all persons entering
shelter

Helpful Tips:
Once the referral is sent to the center, there is a waiting process
for a caseworker to call for an intake.
The client is screened on Megans Law.
When they receive a call, they are asked to come in and complete and intake packet with a caseworker and receive a tour.
At move in, they are required to wash their clothing. One bag per person. They move in that day.
Salvation Army has a building a few blocks away that provides a food pantry, hot meals, clothing and backpacks with supplies.
