Homeowner's Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (HEMAP)
Provides emergency help to bring mortgage up to date. Repayment begins when homeowner is financially able.
Eligibility: A) Residents of Pennsylvania who are homeowners with mortgage delinquencies caused by circumstances beyond their control
B) Must not be in foreclosure
C) Must have the ability to regain financial stability within 24 months.

Helpful Tips: When mortgage becomes delinquent, owner should receive an Act 91 Notice (prior to any foreclosure action) outlining HEMAP.
