Center for Nonviolence and Social Justice - Community Health Worker/Certified Peer Specialist Training
Trains young adults toward becoming trauma informed, human services professionals who share life experience with their clients, break down stigma, and walk alongside people to help them access services. Pays a stipend to trainees.
Eligibility: Philadelphia residents ages 18 to 24 who have personal experience of violence (to yourself or someone close to you), have a high school diploma or GED, and are willing to commit to 165 hours of training over nine weeks
