Eligibility:
Current employees of a grocery store or retail store with a grocery
department in any of the 50 United States and the District of
Columbia, with a demonstrated need for financial assistance are
eligible to apply.

Intake Procedure:
Visit the website and fill out the Grocery Worker's Appreciation Fund
Application.
The application period opens on the first business day each month, and closes on the 15th or the first business day following the 15th if it falls on a weekend or holiday.
Applicants will receive an e-mail within 30 days of application, with information about whether it was approved or denied. Individuals whose applications are denied also welcome to re-apply for the program on the first day of the following month to be considered for assistance.

Proof of employment at a grocery store (paystub, etc.) and a short
description of how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the applicant
financially.

Helpful Tips:
Eligible recipients will receive funds in the form of a $250 gift
card that can be used as cash anywhere major credit cards are
accepted. Cards will be provided by email or text message,
typically within hours of approval.
Individuals who receive an email stating that their application is approved should check Spam/Junk email for the gift card. If text message delivery was requested, they should make sure to check for messages from unknown or short-code senders.
Those having technical difficulties accessing their cards or who do not receive a link should reply to the email informing them of the approval of their application.
