Provides all residents of the greater Harrisburg area – especially those of limited means – with access to safe, reliable, affordable, and environmentally friendly transportation in the form of bicycles.
Eligibility: All adult size bicycles must have a locking system. People can either bring their own lock or purchase a lock from Recycle Bicycle Harrisburg.

Fee Amounts: There is no cost for the bicycle, but any adult bike must have a lock. People can either bring their own lock or purchase a lock from Recycle Bicycle Harrisburg.

Helpful Tips: Bikes are fixed and returned to the community, some are shipped overseas. Others are stripped for parts and the scrap metal is recycled. Must have a lock to prove that you can be responsible enough to lock it up. Locks are for sale at the warehouse. Bike parts are stored in a Mobile Repair Facility - that is towed around in the summer to facilitate Free Bike Repair for Kids.
