Valley Creek Crisis Center works to:
De-escalate and stabilize an immediate individual or family crisis
.Provide risk assessments and bio-psychosocial evaluations.
Be a liaison to police, emergency medical services, and mental health facilities/providers.
Support the individual/family/school to cope with and prevent future crises.
Form a follow-up plan that links to community-based resources
. Provide brief follow-up and support to individual/family/school after a crisis.
Assist schools and communities to respond to critical incidents
. Provide information and referrals to individuals, families and schools.
Provide consultation and professional training to mental health professionals
I. Identify alternatives to hospitalization when possible, and facilitate voluntary or involuntary hospitalization when appropriate
