Helpful Tips: The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Man & Woman of the Year is a national 8 to 10-week campaign to raise funds to cure leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. Hundreds of men and women in 41 cities throughout the nation vie for the title each year. All candidates vying for the title of Man & Woman of the Year agree to utilize their leadership abilities to conduct their own fundraising campaigns for the LLS. Every dollar counts as one vote. The male and female candidates with the most are named the chapter's Man & Woman of the Year. Their totals are then considered for the national title.
