Delaware County Assistance Office - LIHEAP - 2024-2025 Season
Provides grants to families living on low incomes to pay their heating bills. The grant is a one-time payment sent directly to the utility company/fuel provider. These grants range from $200 to $1,000 based on household size, income, and fuel type.

Households without heat or in immediate danger of being without heat may also qualify for crisis grants in addition to the LIHEAP Cash Grants.
Eligibility: Household Income at or below 150% of the Federal Poverty Guideline.

Fee Amounts: Service is provided free of charge. LIHEAP funding is a grant and does not need to be repaid.
Intake Procedure: Pennsylvanians can apply for LIHEAP:
A) Online through the intake website,
B) Through the COMPASS app on a smart phone or tablet,
C) By phone through the Intake number, or
D) With a paper application (download and print an application from the website and return it to the County Assistance Office by mail or in person)

On-site services are available at County Assistance Offices for those who cannot access the online application or who need assistance with the application.

Intake Requirements: Photo ID, proof of income, documentation of utility bill amount.
Geographical Area: Program available statewide.

Each County Assistance Office ONLY serves residents of the counties in which the office is located.
