Provides senior adults who are healthy enough to remain independent in their homes with support services, including professional in-home counseling, errand and transportation services, minor home repairs, and friendly visits or phone calls.

Helpful Tips: The in-home counseling component of PROJECT HEARTH addresses symptoms of depression and anxiety, grief and loss, complicated family dynamics, trauma, compulsive behaviors, and family support around dementia, and provides empathic support around loss of mobility, functioning, and participation in society.

Through the Telephone Reassurance Program participating older adults receive scheduled, weekday phone calls from caring, trained volunteers. These courtesy calls ensure the safety and well-being of senior residents throughout Montgomery County.
