Evaluation and assessment services provided to individuals of all ages at The Center for Autism. After an initial phone interview, a Comprehensive Biopsychosocial Evaluation or Level of Care Assessment will be recommended. During this evaluation, we gather a comprehensive medical and family history and complete an interview and/or interactive play session. If needed, the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule (ADOS) is administered. The ADOS is the gold standard in autism diagnosis and is a standardized assessment of communication, social interaction and play. The Level of Care Assessment (LCA) is a service offered to individuals who already have a diagnosis of an Autism Spectrum Disorder from a reputable, qualified provider. The LCA is used to accurately recommend the appropriate level of services and/or type of care that may be needed for an individual.
