Teen Center - Intensive Prevention Services (IPS) - Bilingual / Spanish
Provides a 90-day program for youth exhibiting at risk behaviors at home, in school, or in the community. Includes mandatory twice weekly visits with case managers, twice monthly counseling sessions, and once monthly home visits. Services include case management, referrals for wraparound services, and workshops covering anger management, conflict resolution, college preparation, and more. Uses Positive Action curriculum to deliver workshops.
Eligibility: Spanish speaking youth ages 10 to 18 residing in Philadelphia County who exhibit at risk behaviors (truancy, running away, threats of harm, substance use, etc.)
Hours: After School Hours: Monday through Thursday, 3:30pm to 6:30pm
Summer Hours: Monday through Thursday, 12:00pm to 4:00pm

Intake Procedure: Families can make self-referral. Formal intake required to ensure participant's understanding of program commitments. Call or email for more information.
Intake Requirements: Referrals from DHS, school officials, police, or families can make self-referrals.
Geographical Area: Fishtown and Kensington
Helpful Tips: Conducts separate groups for middle school and high school clients.
Provides transportation/transit passes to participating youth who reside outside of the ZIP codes 19122 and 19133.
Program can be extended 30, 60, or 90 additional days if desired.
