Charles Widger School of Law - Farmworker Legal Aid Clinic
Engages in traditional litigation cases in addition to other forms of advocacy, including community legal education, policy research and media outreach. Represents workers in deportation defense matters, including asylum, cancellation of removal proceedings, and visas for victims of trafficking and other serious crimes. Also assists workers seeking redress for employment issues including sexual harassment, wage theft, dangerous working conditions, unemployment benefits, and retaliatory discharge.
Eligibility: Serves low wage workers and their families. Also provides legal support for organizations working to empower immigrant workers and end systemic injustices impacting these communities.
