Erie County Department of Health - Child Health Nurse Home Visiting
Registered Nurses provide home visits to high risk pregnant women and/or parenting families, provide prevention education related to such topics as growth, development, nutrition and safety, perform screening related to post-partum depression, child development and child growth, visit families of children with such metabolic disorders as PKU or Maple Sugar Urine Disease, visit families of children with with cleft lip and/or palate and provide referrals and support for families that have experienced the loss of an infant ruled as Sudden Unexplained Infant Death (SUIDS).
Eligibility: Pregnant women, Families with a newborn or a young infant, Single parent families, Families with young children who have special needs.
