Uplift Center for Grieving Children
Philadelphia - Support Groups
Provides peer-to-peer grief support groups to youth, grades K through 12th, and their adult caregivers after the death of someone close to them. Peer groups are available for children, teens, and young adults, and are separated by the developmental age of the participants. Kindergarten to 2nd grade-aged children attend groups together with their caregivers. Caregivers can also meet separately in adults-only group meetings.

Uplift also offers specialized grief supports for Spanish-speakers, LGBTQIA+ youth, justice-involved students, and youth homicide survivors throughout the year. Uplift’s Philly HopeLine, a free telephone helpline staffed by Uplift’s clinicians, is a connection point for youth and caregivers to receive emotional or grief support, sign up for grief groups, or connect to community resources.
