Helpful Tips: The Give A Meal Program is a joint venture between the York County Food Bank and area school districts that seeks to provide holiday meals for families who cannot afford them. Participating school districts host food drives for non-perishable food goods, and volunteers from the Food Bank package these goods into holiday meals for local families. Through this program, many families who are not usually able to afford traditional holiday meals are able to enjoy them. This is also a wonderful way to give back to your community by volunteering to run a drive and/or help prepare the meal boxes for distribution.
