STEP - Early Learning Pathway - Parent Child Home Program
An in-home early literacy and parenting program that prepares young children for school success by increasing language and literacy skills, enhancing social-emotional development, and strengthening the parent-child relationship. During the school year, home visitors go to homes twice each week for 30 minutes and take a new book or educational toy for the child to keep. They show the parents how to use the item to promote school success.
Eligibility: Children 18 months through three years of age in Lycoming, Clinton and Union counties, including those with disabilities, are eligible for enrollment. While children from low-income families are given priority, those from higher-income families may be enrolled as well.
