Philadelphia - Emergency Fund for Older Philadelphians
Provides grants up to $100 for emergency needs including medicine, food, utility shutoffs and other urgent necessities. Also provides assistance with oil heating emergencies not exceeding 100 gallons.
Eligibility: Philadelphia residents 60+ living at or below 175% of federal poverty guidelines.
Applicant must have first applied to LIHEAP and/or UESF.

Intake Procedure: Referrals from social service agencies and clergy only. Applications also available at all senior centers.
Intake Requirements: Shut off notice for utility needs and please call ahead of any medical appointments if looking for assistance with co-pays etc so the determination of the emergency can be made.
