Eligibility:
To qualify for the 5(h) Homeownership Program, applicants must meet
the following requirements:
A) Must be a current PHA single-family scattered site resident
B) The head of household or an adult over 18 years of age must be in continuous occupancy for a minimum of one (1) year
C) Must be current with rent, utilities (if applicable) and any other required payments
Must be in good standing with lease compliance and lease terms
for a continuous period of twelve (12) months immediately preceding
the application
A) Must be a current PHA single-family scattered site resident
B) The head of household or an adult over 18 years of age must be in continuous occupancy for a minimum of one (1) year
C) Must be current with rent, utilities (if applicable) and any other required payments
- Must be able to demonstrate a stable, household income of at
least $10,000 annually and the ability to obtain a mortgage
- Must participate in a pre-and post purchase-counseling
program
- Must be able to demonstrate minimum affordability of your unit's appraised value
