Indiana - Big Hearts, Little Hands
This is a mentoring program for youth and teens that offers services to foster caring, competence, and confidence through emotional, social, cultural, and educational support for children between six and sixteen years of age.
Eligibility: Children applying for the program must be between the ages of six and seventeen, reside in Indiana County, and be in need of additional support from a mentor and able to benefit from a one-to-one relationship with a caring adult volunteer.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm

Geographical Area: Indiana County
Helpful Tips: A volunteer must be 18 or older and a resident of Indiana County or a student at IUP. Volunteers must attend BHLH training and secure Act 33 and Act 34 clearances. Volunteers who work with children must obtain ACT 31 ACT 32 clearances for child abuse and criminal record as well as FBI fingerprint clearance. Provide three professional references. Volunteers to work in the office are also accepted.
