Eligibility:
The child must: reside in a home of origin in Westmoreland County
(exceptions made for specific circumstances) AND be a minor between
the ages of 0-18, or a young adult who accesses Independent Living
services (may remain eligible up to age 23).

Intake Requirements:
The referral must allege child abuse or neglect (including status
offenses). The agency may also accept cases as a courtesy to other
counties or through the interstate compact process.

Referrals will be evaluated by Childline and/or a Westmoreland
County Children's Bureau supervisor. If the referral is marked as
suspected abuse and/or the concerns rise to specified levels, the
supervisor will assign a caseworker to investigate the referral.
