Provides legal services for individuals and families experiencing domestic/intimate partner violence, child abuse, elder/adult dependent abuse. Assists in obtaining restraining orders (Protection From Abuse orders, also called PFAs).
Eligibility: Residents of the service area.

Fee Amounts: Representation at PFA Hearings is provided free of charge, regardless of income.

Fees vary for ongoing/additional legal services; sliding scale and pro bono (free of charge) eligibility determined during consultation.

Helpful Tips: If assistance is required outside business hours or when the Court of Common Pleas is closed, the police can help individuals to contact a District Judge to file for a temporary emergency order.
