Butler Office - Certified Peer Specialist
Offers peer counseling by consumers of behavioral health services who are trained and certified to offer support and assistance to others in recovery. Services are designed around personal choice and active involvement in recovery process. Forensic Peer Services are also provided to those individuals currently incarcerated.
Eligibility: Butler County residents, age 18 and older who meet diagnosis criteria. Call for details.
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm
Other days/times may be available by appointment.

Helpful Tips: Under the Forensic Peer Program, assistance is available to help an incarcerated individual to find post-release housing and a source of income, to apply for medical benefits and obtain their prescribed medication, and with transportation to and from required meetings (parole or probation officers, etc.). Peers may accompany the client to court hearings when appropriate.
