Local Task Force for the Right to Education in Allegheny County
Provides a parent assistance line to help parents of children with special needs receive information concerning special education issues. Puts together a team to monitor a particular classroom(s) in a school building when a request is made by a parent or task force member. Provides information to the Bureau of Special Education for auditing purposes.
Eligibility: Membership is open to parents, professionals, educators, and agency representatives.
Hours: Meetings are held the first Wednesday of every month except July and August from 7:00pm to 9:00pm.
