A unique feature is the intergenerational programming; children share common activities with older adults who are Senior Center or Adult Day Program clients. The interaction brings joy as well as a sense of renewed purpose to the seniors, while children experience the love of new/extra “grandparents.” Both get the opportunity to help the other and work toward common goals.
