Mars Area Public Library - AARP Tax Aide Site - AARP Tax Aide Appointments Scheduled through 211
Provides free tax return preparation for individuals and families.
Eligibility: Open to anyone, with a focus on taxpayers who are age 50 and older and have low to moderate income.
Hours: 211 Resource Navigators are available to schedule appointments Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 8:00pm.

Appointment Days and Times vary by site.
Fee Amounts: Service provided free of charge.

Intake Requirements: What to Bring to the AARP Tax Aide Site (Required Documents and Information):
A) Proof of identification (photo ID)

B) Social Security cards and birthdates for yourself (and your spouse, and all dependents who will be listed on the return)

C) Wage and earning statements (Form W-2, W-2G, 1099-R, 1099-Misc) from all employers

D) Interest and dividend statements from banks (Form 1099)

E) Proof of bank account routing and account numbers (for direct deposit of your refund) such as a blank check

A copy of last year's federal and state returns, if available
Forms 1095-A, B, and C, Health Coverage Statements
  • Health Insurance Exemption Certificate, if received
    Total paid for childcare and the provider's Social Security number or business Employer Identification Number (EIN)
    Copies of income transcripts from IRS and state, if applicable

    Please note that not using Direct Deposit can cause a delay in receiving any refund (the IRS will send a check by mail).
