Helps eligible families living in Allegheny County get food when the need is greatest. The EFA is the official neighborhood food pantry referral agent for the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank (GPCFB). The EFA refers eligible family living in Allegheny County to a broad network of neighborhood food pantries and community feeding facilities. Use of the emergency pantry is a once-a-year safety net, but every family served is given a neighborhood food pantry referral.
